The Apple Watch Ultra 2 defines rugged performance with a natural Titanium finish. This project reimagines its material identity, introducing new colors, textures, and finishes that expand its expressive potential while honoring its core spirit of resilience and precision.

Loop Experience

Inspired by Apple’s Braided Solo Loop, a blend of stretchable yarn and silicone threads, I reimagined this design to create a continuous, form-fitting loop. Through material experimentation, I focused on enhancing the versatility of a single design, offering a balance of comfort, precision, and user experience.

AeroBand

AeroBand is crafted from a translucent, high-gloss material that mirrors the sleek, fluid qualities of silicone resin or TPU. Drawing inspiration from the air units in NIKE Air Max 90 shoes, this band combines a futuristic aesthetic with practical functionality. The glossy finish enhances the material’s depth and dimensionality, while its translucency allows light to pass through, creating a dynamic interplay of light and shadow.

EcoFlex Loop

EcoFlex Loop is engineered from a high-performance textile that combines recycled fibers and microfilament threads for superior durability. Drawing inspiration from outdoor gear like hiking backpacks and technical performance fabrics such as GORE-TEX and ripstop nylon, this material offers moisture-wicking, quick-drying, and water-resistant properties. The silicone-based elasticity ensures a snug fit, while the bio-elastomer weave provides lasting flexibility, making it an ideal choice for active, eco-conscious individuals.

Écliptique Band

Écliptique Band features a stretchable metallic mesh with a soft reflective sheen, inspired by high-performance materials like stainless steel and titanium. Treated with a brushed or satin finish, the mesh offers both breathability and flexibility, adapting comfortably to a range of wrist sizes. Its minimalist design strikes a balance between everyday functionality and understated elegance, making it suitable for daily wear to formal occasions.
